Catering

At RGS Surrey Hills, we believe great food plays an important role in school life. Whether students are joining us for lunch between lessons, refuelling after sport or returning to the dining hall after a busy day of boarding activities, mealtimes are an important part of the school day.

Working in partnership with Holroyd Howe, one of the UK’s leading independent school caterers, we provide freshly prepared meals that support wellbeing, concentration and healthy lifestyles. Menus are designed to offer variety, balance and choice, helping students develop positive eating habits while enjoying food from different cultures and cuisines.

As an independent day and boarding school in Surrey, we cater for a diverse community of local, national and international students. Our dining experience reflects this, with seasonal menus, themed food events and dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world.

Freshly Prepared

Every meal is prepared with quality ingredients and a focus on nutrition, flavour and wellbeing.

Students can choose from a range of hot meals, fresh salads, vegetables, fruit and lighter options each day. Our catering team works closely with students and families to accommodate dietary requirements, allergies and individual needs, ensuring every child can enjoy their meals with confidence.

For boarders, mealtimes provide an opportunity to come together as a community, catch up with friends and enjoy a relaxed environment outside the classroom.

Healthy Eating

We want students to develop a positive relationship with food that lasts beyond school.

Alongside nutritious daily menus, students benefit from opportunities to learn about healthy eating, balanced nutrition and making informed food choices. Interactive events, themed dining experiences and food education activities help students understand where food comes from and how nutrition supports learning, sport and wellbeing.

Our approach encourages students to try new foods, explore different cultures and develop healthy habits that will support them throughout their lives.

Sustainability

We believe that we are all responsible for the environment around us, and we need to do what we can to protect it. We deliver sustainability education, from assemblies to interactive in-person lessons to live demos.

We instil positive food and sustainability habits that will last pupils beyond their education journey.
