Every Student is Known

At RGS Surrey Hills, every student is known as an individual. Our deliberately small size means teachers build strong relationships with every pupil, recognising their strengths, supporting them through challenges and helping them grow in confidence.

Colorful apartment buildings line a calm canal with reflections and a clear blue sky. Distant church towers rise above the urban skyline.

An Education That Goes Beyond the Classroom

Education extends far beyond academic achievement. We believe schools play an important role in developing character, confidence and resilience, preparing young people not just for examinations, but for life. Guided by the Round Square IDEALS of Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service, students develop the values and perspectives needed to thrive in an interconnected world.

A Truly Global Community

With students from Surrey, across the UK and more than 30 countries, our community encourages curiosity, respect and understanding. Every day, students learn from different cultures, perspectives and experiences.

Supported to Flourish

Outstanding pastoral care sits alongside academic ambition. Every student is encouraged to discover their strengths, pursue their interests and develop the confidence to succeed in whatever path they choose.

FAQs

Exploring a new school?

We welcome conversations with families exploring options for now or future entry points. Availability varies by year group, so our admissions team can advise personally.

Can we visit the school before making any decision?

Yes. Families are welcome to arrange a personal visit to see the school in action, meet key staff and ask any questions.

We have not previously considered independent education - can we still enquire?

Absolutely. Many families begin with an informal conversation to understand what is possible and whether RGS Surrey Hills is the right fit.

How does the admissions process work?

Our process is clear and supportive. The admissions team will guide you through each stage and explain the best next steps for your child. Please fill in the form to enquire and our admissions team will be in touch to talk you through the next steps.

How quickly could my child join?

We always suggest you and your family to visit so they can get a feel for the school and meet our team. Timings depend on the year group and stage of process, but where spaces are available, we aim to make transitions as smooth and timely as possible. In some cases, students have joined within a matter of days.

Will my child be supported when joining a new school?

Yes. Pastoral care, tutor support and a strong sense of community help students settle quickly and feel confident.

Do you offer day and boarding options?

Yes. We offer both day, flexi and boarding pathways, giving families flexibility depending on their needs.

Can students join in Sixth Form?

Yes. We welcome Sixth Form enquiries and offer strong pathways including A Levels and the IB.
