Join the RGS Surrey Hills Summer School for an unforgettable two-week experience designed for pupils aged 11–17.

Running from Thursday 20 August – Thursday 3 September 2026, the programme offers students the opportunity to experience life at a British boarding school within our beautiful Surrey Hills campus.
Located close to both Heathrow and Gatwick, the Summer School combines ambitious learning, outstanding pastoral care and a genuine sense of belonging – helping every student grow in confidence, independence and friendships ahead of the new academic year.

A summer that balances learning and experience

Our summer school offers three distinct pathways, allowing students to build confidence in a way that suits them:

Academic Programme
For students ready to explore ideas beyond the classroom, developing critical thinking, collaboration and independence.

Oracy and Communication
Focused on spoken confidence, discussion and presentation skills – supporting students to express themselves clearly and thoughtfully.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)
Designed to strengthen both written and spoken English, with teaching tailored to individual levels and supported through daily use.

Each programme is delivered by experienced teachers and supported by a structured, well-paced timetable. Learning is practical and interactive, with small group teaching, workshops and collaborative projects that bring subjects to life.

Beyond the classroom

A key part of the experience sits outside lessons. Students take part in a wide range of activities, trips and shared experiences, helping them build friendships, develop confidence and feel part of the school community.

For those with a strong interest in sport, additional coaching is available across a range of disciplines, delivered by specialist staff. This sits alongside the wider programme, rather than replacing it, ensuring a balanced experience.

RGS Surrey Hills offers a calm, well-connected location in the Surrey countryside, within easy reach of London and both Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Students can join as day pupils or boarders, with boarding designed to feel structured, supportive and welcoming from the outset.
