School Life

At RGS Surrey Hills, learning is ambitious, balanced and personal. Each school day is shaped to combine academic challenge with opportunity beyond the classroom, enabling students to develop confidence, independence and a genuine enjoyment of learning within our distinctive Surrey Hills setting.

Our academic curriculum is broad, carefully sequenced and designed to stretch every student across our senior school. Teaching encourages pupils to think critically, ask questions and take ownership of their progress across a wide range of subjects. Alongside this, our co-curricular and  extra curricular activities programme offers meaningful opportunities in sport, creative arts, outdoor learning and enrichment, supporting both wellbeing and personal development.

As pupils move towards GCSE Study and progress into the Sixth Form, learning is underpinned by clear guidance, high expectations and individual academic support. This ensures students are well prepared not only for examinations, but for future pathways beyond school, developing the skills, resilience and character required fir university, careers and adult life.
